Today we're sharing an image of a Cross Hole Test performed on piles, a technique that allows us to evaluate the internal integrity of concrete and detect potential discontinuities or defects in the structure.
This method is based on the transmission of ultrasonic waves between probes installed in tubes embedded within the pile. Reading the transit times and signal amplitudes provides us with precise information about the homogeneity of the material and the quality of the installation.
With this type of testing, we ensure that foundations meet the safety and reliability standards required for large-scale projects.
