The Cross Hole (CHA) analyzer allows to control integrity of large diameter piles. It consists of a main unit, transmitter, receptor, two devices for depth measurements and specific software for data processing.

Concrete (cast in place) piles must be provided during casting with PVC or steel pipes embedded in the pile shaft. Test proceeds after concrete hardening by lowering a transmitter along one pipe and a receptor along the other (at 180 degrees with it). The transmitter emits a long wave frequency signal that is read by the receptor to identify discontinuities within the concrete mass between them. The test is run from top to pile tip. Various pipes can be installed to increase pile scanning efficiency. The larger the pile diameter the larger the quantity of pipes to install.

This test evaluates the integrity and continuity of smaller diameter piles along their shafts. By a simple and trustful test it allows to pinpoint any discontinuity, or cross section diminishment due to soil intrusions or voids due to deficient vibration, etc.

This test can determine:

• Maximum compression and tension stress during pile driving
• Information about the integrity of the pile, even the location of possible damage.
• Energy effectively transferred to the pile, piling system efficiency.
• Displacement of the pile during the stroke of the hammer.
• Speed and applicable (estimation) hammer drop height.
• Through built-in code the analysis of the static ultimate load of the pile.
• The measurement is made by means of the installation of sensors on the shaft.

To use in PDA test. This piece of equipment is self leveled and hydraulically operated up to 6 tonm.

The static load testing of piles allows establishing the deformational behavior of the pile under load values that usually exceed by a factor of 2 the service ones.

The load is applied to the pile head by a 300 tons hydraulic jack that rests on a load cell that electronically registers load values. Simultaneously a set of strainmeters register deformation of the pile head. The hydraulic jack reacts against a a steel beam 1,6 m high that transfers the load to the pile head. Can be used transferring the reaction load to adjacent tensile working piles or without them and concrete slabs.

We perform proctor testing according to above STANDARD. Automatic compaction as well as manual devices can be accommodated in mobile labs as well.

The CBR ratio test measures soil deformational parameters under an applied load at a fixed rate until a standardized penetration value is reached following ASTM or IRAM 1511.

Water content determination is a routine laboratory test to determine the amount of water present in a quantity of soil in terms of its dry weight.

The grain-size analysis determines the relative proportions of the different grain sizes that make up a given soil mass. A set of (serial) sieves made of woven wire with rectangular openings ranging in size is used with a vibrant table.

Atterberg limits for plasticity determination of fine soils.

The liquid limit is the moisture content below which the soil behaves as a plastic material, and above it is almost a viscous fluid. The plastic limit is the moisture content below witch the soil is non-plastic.

This test is used to establish soil deformational parameters obtained from a surface (step) loading pattern applied to a steel plate (one inch thick) which varies in size; load is applied by means of a hydraulic jack. Deformation is measured by means of dial gages fixed to a frame supported out of the area of influence of the test. A load deformation curve is obtained from which the deformational modulus may be obtained under a variety of conditions.

A Controls MTS (Italian hydraulic material testing system) for rock and concrete samples strength testing of a 130 tons capacity with double registering system for failure load reading.

Concrete probes sampling with steel molds (15 x 30 cm) under ASTM C-39 standard, facilities for curing, labeling and strength statistical analysis for 7, 14 and 28 days.

Concrete consistency determination in site BEFORE PLACEMENT.

The Marshall test is used to establish the strength (stability) of asphalt (heated) mixtures and their deformational characteristics (Flow). Strength (Stability) is measured as diametral compressive strength in Kgs. Flow is the total deformation experienced by the asphalt sample from initial compression up to failure load expressed in mm. The equipment consists of an automatic compactor, a water heating bath and a laod frame for diametric compression.

Unit weight determination of asphalt (mixtures) samples. Either laboratory compacted or site cored samples may be tested.

This tets determines the asphalt content of mixtures for CQC of asphalt mixtures. An Abson extraction unit and a centrifuge equipment are used.

Establishes specific gravity of rock aggregates of asphalt mixtures and their asphalt absorption.

Allows to extract hardened mixtures asphalt samples and concrete ones.

This test is useful to check welded joints continuity. It is a non destructive test that uses an up to 100 Kpa vacuum pump unit to check both extrusion and sometime fussion welded patches or joints in liners. Soap bubbling is used for vacuum testing.

Non destructive welded joints geomembrane liner testing. Used for joints continuity checking by air injection into the welded length by means of a needle and a pump that builds pressure up to 250 Kpa. A pressumeter is used to check pressure value maintenance during a given amount of time.

Used for testing extruded patches or joints on gemembrane liners that have irregular shapes and on where other tests are not applicable. Checks continuity and absence of porous sections or holes on joints.

This test determines flaws on exposed geomembrane liners. It can also detect leaking spots on slopes.

It allows sampling for testing on geocomposites, geonets, GCL´s, or multiple liners.
